Aviation accidents and incidents

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is Australia’s national transport safety investigator. When things go wrong in transport safety, the ATSB finds out what happened so it doesn’t happen again. The ATSB does not investigate to lay blame. The ATSB is the notification point for all aviation occurrences in Australia. This means that whenever there’s an accident or incident - no matter how minor it may seem - the ATSB needs to know about it.

REPCON confidential reporting

The ATSB also operates a confidential reporting scheme known as REPCON. You can tell the ATSB confidentially about safety concerns with total assurance your identity will be protected.

REPCON is not an alternative to complying with mandatory reporting obligations under the Transport Safety Investigation Regulations 2003.
